About Robert Wurster
The effects of human activity and exploitation upon nature is where I find inspiration and emotion to create sculpture. Botanical and man-made forms are referenced to express my ideas about our relationship with nature. The natural world we inhabit creates, blossoms and dies in never-ending life cycles. It is apparent more than ever how human activity is threatening these life cycles and the environment all creature inhabit. Utilizing woodworking methods by hand, I try to express something of this time in natural history.
