Michael Killelea

I love to paint outdoors...en plein air. The challenge of creating a painting in the limited time that the sun & shadows allow, along with the other intangibles nature can present, make the process energizing. And when the effort comes together, it's heady!

Killelea is an inveterate plein-air watercolor painter and nature lover who carries paper and brush with him almost everywhere he travels. His work has been featured thrice in American Artists “Watercolor” magazine, and exhibited in art museums around the US. In addition his work and bio are included in the Smithsonian Museum, the Library of Congress and the Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
