Joyce M. Hill

Joyce is a mixed media artist living and working in Buffalo, New York. She has been a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists for over 15 years as well as a Signature Member of the Catherine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club in NYC, The National Collage Society, and Collage Artists of America. She currently is working on a body of work to do with the art of graffiti. "I find it very interesting to see west coast vs east coast graffiti. I have used photo images from the street with acrylic, treated aluminum pieces,and letters from signs, spray paints, which are all on deep canvas and watercolor paper appearing like a piece of a wall has been cut out." Joyce has won many national and international awards around the world with her work. She has currently started a daily artist blog on her website www.joycehillstudio.com. Joyce's work has recently been published by Lark Publications in a book Masters/Collage. The book can be purchased at Barnes & Noble. Small works available at www.joycehillsmallstudio.blogspot.com. Education

Graduated from RIT in Rochester, NY in 1972 with a BFA in Graphic Design.

I worked in the field of graphic design from 1972-1999. Then free lanced from then to 2001. Then began to pursue my interest in mixed/media painting . I have been active doing exhibitions nationally and won many awards. I have also been published in  the book Masters of Collage and in many other publications nationally in the US


Awards

I have also received  many top awards over the years as a member . I received a gold metal in 2021 which is the highest award from the BSA and am a signature member
