The sale of Doreen Cutting’s”The Steinbrenner” at the November Burchfield Penney opening gala live auction fundraiser at Kleinhans’ Mary Seaton Room fetched the second highest auction price at that auction. Doreen had special recognition by The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County for her many years’ participation in the Allentown Art Festival.

The book describes in chapter form the twists and turns of her work. It begins in 1978 when she received her Masters Degree in Painting from the University of Buffalo and ending with current works of the last few years.

Wolfe have collaborated to create a piece of original artwork for the ERIE (Ecosystem Restoration through Interdisciplinary Exchange) project which will be on exhibition during an artists reception to be held at the UB Center for the Arts on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 5 to 7 pm.. ERIE is a new interdisciplinary doctoral education, research and training program to advance ecosystem science, engineering and policy while contributing to the ecological recovery of the Great Lakes and Western New York. The project involves the collaboration of multiple University of Buffalo Departments including Civil (Environmental) Engineering.
