Gerald Mead has two works in the Castellani Art Museum’s exhibition “Aperture: Photography from the Permanent Collection” through May 13, is included in “An Exhibition of Gallery Artists” at Exhibit-A in Corning, NY through January 21, and was invited to be in “Buffalo on the Bowery,” an exhibition/benefit auction in October at the Charles Bank Gallery in NYC, organized by Hallwalls and P.U.S.H. Buffalo.

The sale of Doreen Cutting’s”The Steinbrenner” at the November Burchfield Penney opening gala live auction fundraiser at Kleinhans’ Mary Seaton Room fetched the second highest auction price at that auction. Doreen had special recognition by The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County for her many years’ participation in the Allentown Art Festival.
Marc Duquette had a drawing chosen as a finalist in the 2016 Art Renewal Center International Salon. This is the most prestigious realist art competition in the Americas. There were over 3,000 entries by 1,300+ artists. “I am honored to have my work recognized next to some of the best in the business.” Awards and prizes will be announced in November. Phyllis Thompson has completed a six week residency at the Albright Knox Northland and mural on Northland Avenue wall.
Dennis Stierer’s photograph, Good Hope Picnic Grounds from his project ByPassed America, was chosen for the exhibit Forgotten. The exhibit was juried by Paula Tognarelli at the SE CENTER for Photography, 116 East Broad St. in Greenville, SC. The exhibit will hang in the main gallery from 9/1 – 9/30/2023.
Robert Schulman has an upcoming show at Artsphere Studio. Opening June 10, Schulman will be showing along with Gene Cunningham, a stainless steel sculptor. The show is titled “STAINLESS STEEL-STEEL STAINED” Interesting new work!
