Lawrence Kinney Commissioned to Produce Two Public SculpturesCONTACT: Lawrence Kinney at 833-6260 Lawrence Kinney designed and fabricated two public sculptures this summer for each of two venues. The first sculpture, funded by a grant from the KaBOOM! Play Everywhere Challenge supported by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, was recently unveiled at the BRRAlliance Community Garden, at the corner of Farmer and Guernsey streets in Black Rock. The life-size, grinning pig sculpture reflects a portion of the history of the Black Rock neighborhood, where a livestock path leading from the village to nearby farmlands once stood. The 170 lb. hand-laid cement sculpture, which the community has since titled, “Brockie” through a pig-naming contest, greets visitors at the corner of the garden. The town of Kenmore…
