Barbara Hart contributed her painting, Wallflower, to the Burchfield Penny’s annual gala fundraising auction scheduled for the evening of June 17. Auction works were on view in the BP’s main gallery from June 7 to 17. On May 6, Barbara participated in the Raft of Sanity’s activity “Drawing with Felice Koenig” in conjunction Koenig’s solo exhibit “Enough Love for Everyone” which runs through June 24 at the Raft.

The Downtown Springville Art Crawl is Saturday, June 3rd. It is a free, all-ages, immersive, one-night art event. Juried artwork is hung in local businesses, transforming Main Street into a gallery. Art, live music, performances, installations, art demonstrations, kid’s activities, vendors, and more fill historic downtown Springville. We are accepting submissions for the juried art show and proposals for art installations. We are also looking for artists who would be interested in setting up demonstrations. This year, we have some exciting things happening for our artists, who are the foundation of this event: • Artist Lounge: This will be set up in a Main Street location TBD. Joan Fitzgerald’s poem, “Procession,” has been selected for inclusion in the anthology This Light Called Darkness. The poem was originally published in The Raven Chronicles. The anthology is a gathering of poetry, story, essay and art. Joan’s exhibition of her recent work will be on view at Art Dialogue until May 19.
