Fotini Renzoni is creating a 22-ft. mural at Ledgeview Elementary School, Clarence, on site. The mural is a landscape metamorphosing through 4 seasons with hidden interactive learning tools. Photos of the work in progress will be used for school fundraising.

Lila Krehbiel, formerly Lila Mandzyk, will be conducting two Ukranian Easter egg workshops in April, the first on Satuday, April 4 from 9 to noon at the Buffalo Arts Studio, Suite 500, TriMain Building, 5th floor, 2495 Main Street, Buffalo. Register by calling 862-0367. Both require you to bring 3 fresh eggs or 3 uncracked hard boiled eggs to the workshop. Lila’s interest in her Ukranian heritage prompted her to learn this time-honored art.

The sale of Doreen Cutting’s”The Steinbrenner” at the November Burchfield Penney opening gala live auction fundraiser at Kleinhans’ Mary Seaton Room fetched the second highest auction price at that auction. Doreen had special recognition by The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County for her many years’ participation in the Allentown Art Festival.

The BSA members and guests who attended the Wines & WWII fundraising event at home of Paula Sciuk and her husband Ken Sciog on Friday, June 12 enjoyed an evening of beautiful weather, a creative pairing of wine with an array of imaginative hors d’oeuvres, and an exciting and informative discussion and display of World War II aircraft, all of which sparked great conversation and good fellowship. To enhance the taste of both wine and food, the extensive selection of wines from Italy, France and Oregon were paired with Italian piave cheese, French brie, prosciutto, Mediterranean and French olives and goat cheese, served with French baguettes, and a cornucopia of familiar and exotic fruits including grapes, dates, currents, Asian pears, blackberries, apricots, strawberries, cherries, kumquats,…
