I work in egg tempera, acrylic, gouache, pastel, oil and intaglio. . Format sizes vary from extremely miniature to cabinet plus. In the conceptual stage subject matter is invented or selected by chance. In the finishing stage techniques of traditional realism are used to make convincing effects of lighting, perspective, texture, etc. Finally, direct observation may be employed to refine details.
